How to have a great session with both your Baby & Dogs

With a little planning you can have it all. The first thing I figure out with families that have young children and pets is to find a location with very few distractions. Cars, people, and other pets can really distract babies and pets from being in the moment with you!

My studio is a quick fix to this problem but I don't want clients to feel like they HAVE to be indoors for these sessions. While you will often have to leave pets on a leash outside, getting your family in a beautiful environment can make it all worth it. 

Lastly, have realistic expectations. While it is possible to get EVERYONE looking at the camera and smiling (dogs smile, right?) It doesn't happen often. Instead I encourage families to have fun moments together. This is entirely doable every time. And the images will feel more real and genuine as you look back on the photos years from now.
